Starting and stopping a Charging Session

Modified on Sat, 23 Aug, 2025 at 12:58 PM

To start a charging session:

  • Via the Charge Hub App:
    • Open the Charge Hub App on your mobile.  Set up an Account with a payment method, if you haven't already done so.
    • Find the Location on the map on the screen.  Note if your map is showing Netherlands, then you will need to turn on Location in the settings.  Otherwise, click on the flag on the map or on the address in the list below.
    • Plug in the charging cable to your vehicle, and station if required.  Make sure that the plug is pushed in all the way.
    • Go back to the App screen, select the plug number of the Charger that you are plugged into.
    • Swipe the lightning bolt icon at the bottom of the screen from left to right with your thumb.
    • Wait until the App screen confirms that you have successfully started charging.  Set a timer to return if you need to.
    • Stop your session also via the Charge Hub App.
  • Using a physical RFID card:
    • If you have a Charge Hub issued RFID card or key tag, that has been connected to your Account already.  Then plug in your vehicle and tap the RFID card on the reader of the station.  Wait until the station confirms that the session has started.
    • Note that the RFID card must be one supplied by Charge Hub and already connected to your account.
    • Stop your session by tapping the RFID card again on the station reader.
  • Via an integrated Nayax Credit Card Reader:
    • If the charging station has a Nayax Credit Card Reader attached to the front of it, then plug in your vehicle and tap your credit card onto the front of the Credit Card Reader.  The messages on the screen of the Reader should step you through the process to continue.
  • Via the EasyPark App:
    • A number of the Charge Hub charging stations are integrated with the EasyPark Parking App.   Whether connected to paid parking locations or not.  Open up their App and search for your location.  Same process, plug in your charging cable, select the plug number, then start the session.
